Very many fine family portraits hang on the walls including the imposing painting of Sir Philip Baker Wilbraham (below) by Oswald Birley, he was Dean of the Arches and the First Church Estates Commissioner.

Sir George Baker was a close friend of Sir Joshua Reynolds, whose niece, Maria Palmer, gave him the self-portrait (below) after the artist's death with the words: "It is the only original I have to give and you are the only person to whom I could give it".
